พี่ Ladee's wedding at ChiangRai

It was very interesting to be able to attend พี่Ladee and Joel's karen tribe wedding. The kids, staff and us had lots of fun over the few days at ChiangRai. The truck ride from ChiangMai to ChiangRai were filled with laughter, conversation and sleep as well. Haha

On our first day there, finding Ladee's village was quite challenging at night as the signs were not very noticeable. Ladee was very kind to host us in the house where the bulk of us bunked together in the main hall. You could hear all the different snores and sounds throughout the night but we still slept well. Haha

At our free time, we went to explore the neighbourhood. Ice-cream was just the thing we needed. Haha! We had a free boat ride from a friend of Uncle Ricky. We also got to see some really huge snakes at a shop.

This felt like a family going on a road trip together. Our friendship with the kids and the staff were continuously built and strengthened. It warms my heart when I see how Pon would speak freely and laugh out loud while with us in which she is usually quite reserved. And how Marisa would come hold my hands as we walked around the mall. Thankful for this opportunity to go to ChiangRai together. More to come!
