Some of the kids pee on their beds when they sleep at night. In order not to stink up every room, the staff decided to move all the boys who pee in their beds to one room. The stench was really quite strong. Standing outside by the room's door for more than 10 seconds is quite a challenge itself. Haha! It was really that bad. I think the boys don't find it smelly anymore because they got so used to it.
The "pee" boys do bathe daily but sometimes they still smell bad because their jacket, blankets and bed have been stained by the urine. We washed all their soft toys, some clothes, pillows and blankets. Put the mattresses to a thorough scrub and a good wash as well.
All our energy put to scrubbing and washing was made worth it when the pee room smelled better than before and the "pee" boys don't stink anymore. Not sure how long this would last but well, it was a good start :)
