Experienced many breakthroughs while in ChiangMai (and ChiangRai) with them all. It is challenging to pick up a new language but learning from online resources and people - Jacinth, the staff, and children, I can understand and speak a lot more now. Long way to go but seems like it's going quite well! Manage to conduct a Floorball session in Thai. It wasn't easy but truly, God has helped me big time as I pick up the Thai language. Let's keep going at it
Another breakthrough would be in relationships - with the children and staff. Where the kids are, we put ourselves there too. What they eat, we eat. What they participate in, we join in as well. The short trip to ChiangRai with a few of the staff and children made way for greater bonding and deeper relationships. The activities and games led by the HongKong and Malaysia teams of volunteers also facilitated our bonding with the children.
Relationships are built when we spend time with each other. Every thing that we do together, no matter how simple, value adds to the relationship. Need a continual breakthrough in grasping the Thai language and in relationship building. Trusting God all the way. Keep me in prayers whenever you remember me! Haha
