Resilience

Ice-skating was a great activity to train the kids' resilience! It stretched their abilities to recover quickly from difficulties and setbacks. We were so impressed with the children! Nung Sala could finally skate on her own, and Nung Noot - a first timer, as well! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves at Ice-skating. There were some tears too, but no one gave up! A few of the kids seemed to fall almost every 5 seconds but they never gave up. They fell, laughed it off, and got up again. Warm moments where we help one another get up too

The ice was exceptionally wet and slippery that day; one fall would bring a splash of cold water. That was how wet and slippery it was. Haha! I took way longer than before to get used to the ice. Out of the blue, Little Chi skated towards me, held my hands, and we skated off together. In that instance, all fears disappeared. I could finally skate freely! It got me thinking: How wonderful it is, to have a friend by our side.

With a grateful heart,
Bella
