Thankfulness

Hi all!

It’s been a while since my last update here, and I’m so happy to be writing on this space again! This year, I’ve been sharing more often over on Instagram - so if you’d like to see our daily moments and progress, come visit us at @smilesofchiangmai!

We’ve had quite an eventful year, with new projects taking shape and many meaningful milestones along the way. I’m deeply thankful for everyone who has been following our journey, supporting us, and celebrating each small step with us.

A very special thank you goes to our dear friends Sarah & Bryden - your encouragement and generosity have helped us bring dreams to life through the new projects we started this year. You’ve been such a blessing.

This year also marked a new phase for me personally - I’ve started leading more group work and counselling sessions with the children and youths. It’s been both stretching and rewarding to walk with them more closely. Truly, we have been blessed by God through so many kind and generous hearts who have come alongside us.

As we near the end of this year, I’m taking time to reflect with gratitude. It’s been a full, sometimes tiring, but deeply fruitful season. Thank you for being part of our lives - part of our village, our family, in raising these precious children and youths together.

Starting this month, I’ll be improving our expenditure recording system to make it clearer and more efficient. I also hope to write here more often again, if I can! Work has been stretching but joyful lately — full of learning, growing, and depending on God. Please continue to journey with us and keep our children and staff in your prayers.

As we draw near to the close of the year, may we all carry a heart of thanksgiving, keep learning humbly, leave behind what we need to, and step forward with hope and trust in God for the year ahead.

Thank you for stopping by and reading till the end. Take care, stay well! I’ve been learning to practice self-care more seriously this year - setting healthy boundaries, pausing when needed, regulating emotions, giving myself space to breathe, and offering small encouragements to myself along the way.

With thankfulness,
Bella
