This verse is an encouragement and reminder for me in this season. God's living word is the very thing that sustains and strengthens me each day, especially when times are tough. During one of the Monday small group nights, I led the older kids in a "choose a verse for yourself for the year" activity where we each look for a verse/promise that we want to anchor ourselves on. We took turns to share the verse that we chose, and then decorated it on a card which we then paste it somewhere we would view often. I find myself constantly coming back to this verse that I've pasted on my wall. When facing difficulties, discouragement or disappointment, I speak this word to my soul. Sometimes all I see is problems and sadness, I forget about how good and true God is.
Again, today, I hold on to this verse and tell myself to take heart, trust and wait for the Lord. He is working. He understands. He sees it all. Pray, let go and hold on to Him. He's got this.
