Hi all! Here to announce that @Smilesofchiangmai Fund Raising has officially begun! There is no minimum amount required for the monetary contribution. Our Fund Raising closes on Sun, 26 July. Every bit goes a long way to support the works here. Thank you for supporting our Fund Raising, and enabling me to do the ground work.

Some questions that you might have:
1. When is this Fund Raising till? Fund Raising period: From now till Sun, 26 August 2020.
2. What happens to the remaining funds after expenditure in a year? The remaining funds will be carried forward to the next year. For example, the remaining funds after expenditure in 2019 will be carried forward and to be used in year 2020.
3. Is the Orphanage informed of your Fund Raising? Yes. I update and account to them regularly. This is to maintain trust, integrity, and transparency.
4. What is the #BirthdayProject? The #BirthdayProject is meant to celebrate the lives of our children by spending quality time together in small groups. We'll bring the birthday kids & staff out for a good meal (e.g. Buffet, Pizza etc) and a fun activity (e.g. Indoor playground, Trampoline park etc). Instead of buying them gifts, we give of our time to let them know that they are precious and loved. And, create happy memories together. More info up at @Smilesofchiangmai
5. What could be some examples of "other areas of needs and well-being of the children and orphanage"? I introduced this into our fund raising because needs appear in different forms, timing, and ways. It could be buying of school socks before the school term. It could be getting lozenges to provide sore throat relief for kids. In essence, this portion functions as a "supplementary" support so that I could activate the funds to support or supplement the Orphanage's efforts in ways necessary or essential.
6. Why do you need to do this fund raising? This fund raising will allow and enable me to have a working pool of resources that I can readily activate whenever the need arises. I wanted to relieve the Orphanage of expenses related to the works and projects that I do with the children such as in the areas of counselling, kids and youth engagement etc. Very thankful to friends, and friends of friends, who supported and trusted us/me thus far.

8. Is @Smilesofchiangmai Fund Raising different from the Monthly Support that you've mentioned in your previous posts? Yes, they are different! The monthly support that I've mentioned in the older posts are to cover my personal incurred expenses such as food, lodging, visa, travel expenses, necessities, and more. But this Fund Raising under @Smilesofchiangmai is not going to be used to cover my personal monthly expenses. Funds raised under @Smilesofchiangmai is going to be used for the works, needs, and projects that I do with our children and Orphanage.
