Dear boy, Chi |
Can't help but take a pic of little Chi shortly after I've seen him and given him a big hug. His laughter, his big heart, and his sensitivity. |
Little did I expect that playing a two-players monopoly (thai: Seh ti) would be so much fun. Quality time with my son haha! |
Chi is definitely cuter than the chick! |
Recalled the very first instance I saw him at Care Corner this May... I was cycling to where some of the children were and in a flash, I spotted someone that resembled his back view but I wasn't sure. So with uncertainty and a shaky voice, I called out "Chi??" Two seconds later, he turned and yes it was him! I was so happy to see him again. He ran to put the mop down while I cycled at my fastest to where he was and I said "Chi! Hug!" and he replied "Hug! Ok!"
:')
This short episode itself drew me deep into the beauty of reconciliation, reunion, love, restoration, identity, truth, compassion, and indescribable joy. I caught another glimpse of our Father God's love for us. Everything was done so we could come back to Him. God has always been calling His creation back to Him. That embrace. That joy. That reunion.
C.S. Lewis on happiness:
“What Satan put into the heads of our remote ancestors was the idea that they could ‘be like gods’—could set up on their own as if they had created themselves—be their own masters—invent some sort of happiness for themselves outside God, apart from God. And out of that hopeless attempt has come nearly all that we call human history—money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, classes, empires, slavery—the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy. God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.”

In one of my conversations with Jacinth at Pizza Company, Jacinth shared that: some people question why did God create people. The product of your parents' love, is you - a child, or children. God is love. The product and manifestation of God's love, is us - His creation.
