Reminiscing over the amazing days we've had in Chiangmai

SAWADEEKA!
Back from the land of smiles. We had the time of our lives there, and wow it's not possible to remain the person i was after the life-changing moments spent at ChiangMai. I'm missing the children so much now, missing Jacinth too, miss being able to joke with CcofBuds too, as well as everyone and everything at Chiangmai. Can I have some beef noodles right now plz!? Haha! I'm already looking forward to the next time I'll be back at CCO to spend time with everyone there next year.

Wanna start off by saying THANK-YOU to everyone who supported us in every way. Your support, contribution, suggestions etc, were helpful and important to us! Thank-you for going the extra mile for the children we're blessing.

Drawing more water for our "water fight" after our games session under the hot sun! Here's little Sarah refilling her jug too!

The older girls and us taking up the challenge of piecing up 500 jigsaw puzzles. The girls persevered in seeing it to completion!
Featuring: Little Dang. Haha! the little ones were waiting for their school bus to fetch them to school. After we send the little ones up their school truck, we'd go over to the older children's school to chill with them before their morning assembly and classes begin. I miss being around them. Slurping down the sweet ice-blended cup of goodness each day and just being around the children.

The children doing their homework and studying. Focus! Persevere!

Marisa helping Chi to tie his scouts scarf. Haha! They look so adorable and smart in their scouts uniform!

The older brothers and sisters piggy-back the little ones in this game of "folding the newspaper" where they have to stand on it as a team.

Suchart succeeded in catching the watermelon seeds on his face from the watermelons he ate. This game was from RunningMan (a popular Korean variety show). The kids enjoyed the games! So did we!

Here's little Mike (also known as Uncle Mike)! He's seriously the funniest kid i've ever met in my life! He brought so much joy and laughter everyone around him.

See what i meant by Mike being the funniest kid i've ever met? HAHAHA
I have no idea how he ended up looking like that after the flour game.

Life-size Winnie the Pooh - Uncle Mike

Meishan looking cute as she examines and scrutinizes this big piece of blank paper on the other side HAHA

Big sister Suree helped us a lot in the games by ensuring that the children understood how to play! I love talking to her, we could talk about everything under the sun. From songs, to school, to lizards. She could speak and understand English quite well! Thankful for her!
Sharing some of my thoughts and reflection...
Let me try to put these into words... hmm...

When i've decided to return to CCOF this year, I carried many dreams and visions with me. I believe those little dreams and visions were planted by God in my heart. I didn't wanna just come, and oh, play games, laugh, have fun and go back to Singapore. I want to be a blessing. I want to pray for the children. I want to hear their stories, know them more, listen to them (thank God for wifi and google translator! Whoo!), to be around them, give them hugs, remind them that God loves them, encourage them....

God opened doors for me to be a blessing to the children. I see things coming together, falling into place after prayers and believing, great buddies that came together in commitment and planning together. Don't get me wrong. I don't think that I'm even close to being great or noble. Truth is, I'm fully aware that what I can offer is very little. But God has shown me that no gift is too small. With just my 5 loaves and 2 fishes (a parable in the bible) is enough because God can do the impossible and more.

In my time spent at Chiangmai, i've stepped into many new beginnings and into the unknown by faith! I've conquered my fear of heights and will continue to conquer more of what comes my way through Christ who gives me strength.

I wanted to extend my stay at CCOF, and guess what?
We missed our flight back to SG. Hahaha! A few factors made this happened. Though we had to spend extra money to book a new flight home, I really thank God for everything! God knows best. The next 2 days plus of extended stay were amazing. It felt like I was there on borrowed time.

My prayer for CCOF is that God will renew the strength of the staff. His grace is more than enough. And for the children to continue to grow in God's love, and to live out their unique destinies.

Stay tune for more updates :)

With utmost joy,
Bella
