Harro everyone!
Our team (the CCOBUDS) met up last night to further prepare for our trip! We're still in the midst of solidifying our activities and ideas. Change is the only constant as we know :)
Would you like to make a special contribution? (no matter the amount! every cent counts!)
Your contribution will be used to bless the children in Care Corner Orphanage in Chiangmai, Thailand. We'll be going over in about 2 weeks time! The activities we're planning to do with and for the children would not be possible if there are not enough funds. So we really need your generous contribution! We're selling beautifully handmade bookmarks and cards by some of the children from the Orphanage too.

Sharing with you some activities that we'll be having:
- Teaching the children a dance using the song "Wake" by Hillsong. We bought LED finger lights at the cheapest deal possible. By faith, i believe that somehow we'll have the funds to cover this cost.
- Cookie baking session. We need funds to buy the ingredients! If we're unable to raise enough funds, we'll have to scrap this fun activity off. From last year's experience, the children totally love this cookie baking activity. We would love to have it again this year!
- Games sessions to improve on team spirit, team bonding, teamwork, helping one another, and appreciation. 1) Linear field team relay. 2) Treasure hunt. These games require some logistics, however, we'll definitely source for the cheapest yet good ones. We will be using recycled materials and keeping cost low!!
- Learning to appreciate the staff and showing appreciation for the staff. We're planning to have the children form one big red coloured heart using their fingerprints. The older children will then write words of appreciation to the staff of Care Corner Orphanage. We will frame it up and present it to the staff on one of the nights. And we will be recording a thank-you video of the kids too! We will need funds to purchase the frame.
- Teaching English at the school next door. We may need to purchase paper. More details to come soon!
- Cooking 2 dinners for the children. We'll be cooking Curry and Macaroni soup! We'll need funds to purchase the ingredients.
- A handmade keychain/tag for the children. Each child will receive a card with their names on it and a word of encouragement or affirmation. They'll be able to hang it on their school bags or pencil cases. We'll be wrapping it up in clear plastic sheets. To do so we will need funds to purchase some materials. We will also be using whatever materials we currently we have so as to keep cost to its minimum.
